Aurora was tired of being locked in her house with her aunties. She was tired of being locked indoors without the sun, and living in Los Angeles, how could you not spend your time in the sun. It was just... really, not making much sense. So when her aunts were out, she slipped out of bed, pulled on a pair of skinny jeans, heels, a white shirt, and a plaid top to top it off. Aurora didn't really care what she looked like, not that she wanted strangers near her anyway. She just wanted to get out of there! Aurora was not used to being in heels, considering she hadn't left the house for a while. So, she obviously hadn't worn heels in a while; but she managed to sneak her way to the bathroom. Paranoid that her aunties would come home any second and see her trying to escape and walk into "the dangers of the world". What dangers were there for Aurora? Really... well actually, more than she knew. Aurora didn't know her family heritage, so she figured her parents were dead, and that she was a no one. That, my good friend, is not the case. She was not a no one. She was a someone. But, Aurora won't know that until she turns 21, and is forced into taking over the family business. The eighteen year old looked at herself in the bathroom mirror, running her fingers through her hair, taming the weird curls, and getting a little bit of volume in there. She smirked to herself, then checked her teeth. With a grimace, she scolded herself and gave a quick brush. Aurora rechecked her teeth after, beautifully ivory. Because, teeth, actually should not be white, considering they are made of ivory. It's unnatural.
She ran downstairs, grabbed her wallet, and her credit card, which never seemed to die out, and hit the mall... alone. Yeah, that's how it was. Alone. Not that she minded. Ever since she was young, Aurora was told not to talk to strangers, and that most were dangerous. She was shown the bad things in the news, and it just backed up that fear a little bit more each time. It was a beautiful day when she walked outside. The birds were singing, which made her want to sing. Which, naturally she did. She jumped up on the ledge of a garden bed and started trying to walk along that as she sang. Things like balance came naturally to her, and she sang with the birdies as she strolled all the way to the local mall. Aurora loved clothing, and pasteries, but especially clothing. It just held a deep place in her heart. Well, that and every birthday her aunties would buy her clothes. It was like the mandatory gift for the growing (well, not really anymore) girl. At the end of the garden bed, she jumped off and meandered the rest of the way to the mall, holding the door for a couple of people. Finally, when everyone had passed, she took a step into the air conditioned mall, it felt nice to be away fromt the house... and with people. Even if she wasn't going to go and talk to them on purpose.
Aurora passed the window displays and stopped whenever something caught her eye. Twirling a piece of platinum blond around her slender pale finger. Humming softly to herself. As she turned around to continue her lonely journey, she crashed into someone, and knocked herself back a couple of steps. "Oh my gosh!" She gasped. "I'm so sorry."
