Take nothing less than perfection, (Clothes)Beep, Beep, Beep. Jordan was having a lovely dream, where he was king of England, and everyone loved him. Except everyone was, well orange people. So really, it was more like he was the king of Orangland, it kinda sounded like England? Well, it really didn't, but in his dream, he had an amazing British accent so he when he said Orangland, and England, they sounded the same. Cool no? Well sadly, his dream wasn't all as it was cracked up to be. Turns out he ended up being like King Louis the Sixteenth, a real jackass. And his orange people were rebelling against him, creating the French Revolution, more like the Orange Revolution. His dream ended with him being shot at three times, which was actually three beeps of his alarm clock, thank god for that. He didn't actually get hit by the bullets, which was a good thing, because you know what they say. If you die in your dreams you die in real life, oh gosh right?
THANKFULLY, his alarm clock had woken him. More like startled him, he went from being snugly in his covers to the cold hard floor. A cool breeze tickled his bare back, he sat up and rubbed his head, his hazel orbs fell on the open window. No wonder it was like minus a million degrees in his room, okay so yes, that was a hyperbole, but what ever. With a yawn he stood up and lazily made his way to the bathroom, yes he was lucky enough to have a bathroom adjacent to his room. With out even thinking he went about his morning routine, he had done it so many times that he didn't need to even really think about it, it was just a natural response for his body. First, he brushed his teeth, then went to the bathroom, that was followed by a very long hot shower. Once Jordan was done in the shower he moved to blow dry his hair to straight perfection, yes, he was rather obsessed with his hair, and he cared for it deeply. That's why it was so healthy.
Jordan had now moved to put on some clothes, of course it was warm out, despite it being fall, but the wind was still blowing in his open window making him cold. Jordan however didn't feel the need to get dressed up for 'fall weather', so he settled for a t-shirt and jeans. He didn't really feel like wearing a toque or hat today, or a hoddie, which was very unusual for him. You could almost always see him with a toque and hoodie on, it was his thing, if you will. However he just wasn't feeling it, you know? Jordan was just feeling different today, so different in fact that he didn't hit the snooze on his alarm clock, multiple times. He actually got up for the first time, which just so happened to be eleven am, scary right? Though it did take him a good two hours to get ready to go out, even though he didn't have a particular destination in mind.
With random thoughts he slipped on his DC's and stepped out side and just started walking. Jordan wasn't really paying attention, it was just one of those times where you let your mind and feet wander. His mind had gone off into la-la land, there was no point in even going there, it just didn't make any sense. His feet however, had taken him to his favorite shopping center. How exciting! not. Slowly but surely he focused attention on his current surroundings, he smiled slightly. He could go in and browse the shoes stores, he was always up for a new pair of shoes. He was much like a girl in that sense, he figured that one could never have to many pairs of shoes. His closet could attest to that.
Upon entering the giant shopping complex he stopped to hold the door open for an elderly woman, who in return gave him a hard candy from the bottom of her purse; which was no doubt stale. Apparently the woman expected him to eat the stale candy right then and there because she stood there smiling at him. With a forced smile he unwrapped the candy and popped it into his mouth; to him it tasted distinctly of peppermint and pennies. Jordan, being the kind young man that he was hurriedly chewed the candy, swallowed and thanked the woman before turning on his heel and walking into the shopping complex. Grimacing he glanced around for a water fountain, or a pop machine of some sort; he needed something to get rid of the taste or else he was going to gag.
Just as luck would have it there was nothing in the immediate vicinity, great. However, it was not the only option available to the charismatic twenty year old, he could always just fall back on his charm and go up and ask someone if the had a drink. No, scratch that, he wasn't a fan of sharing drinks, especially with strangers; he had a little problem with cooties. Gum was a more viable option in his mind.
Confidently he strolled up to the closest person to him, who just so happened to be window shopping. Hopefully this person would have gum and would not be to opposed to his intrusion. Slapping a wide-spread, charming smile on his face he tapped the window shopper on the shoulder, "may I beg your pardon, but I was wondering if by chance you have any gum?" ---------------------------------------------- - Word Count: 952

I'M FEELING NERVOUS TRYING TO BE SO PERFECT It was odd how little Kat liked to go out. She was constantly in unique places due to her filming, but when she had an opportunity to do whatever she wanted, to just have fun, she generally stayed in and read a book, or something along those lines. But one of her fellow actresses told her it was a shopping day, and dragged her along on some crazy venture of hers. The blond sighed as she walked with her costar, wondering how long she would be forced to go everywhere that her friend wanted to go. Finally it became clear that Kat just wasn't interested in this crazy shopping spree. That being the case, she was told to go look around for something she liked, and then meet her friend at the food court.
The blond wandered around the place in a bit of confusion. In truth she had never been to this particular shopping complex. The places she had gone to before had been closer to her home, and generally less busy. She didn't like spotting several photographers, who would no doubt help magazine writers write something strange about her, about why she was at this shopping complex. While she knew it was all a part of being famous, she didn't like it whatsoever. She wasn't acting to have people gawk at her and tell lies about her. She was acting because it was fun, because it was something she'd much rather do than some boring desk job. And it helped make a difference. Because of the money she earned she was able to help other people.
Kat was pretty sure those paparazzi had no good reason for doing what they did. True, it was different to see her out at a place like this, but that didn't mean they had to take more than two pictures, but she was pretty sure they were taking a lot more then that. She always caught a few glimpses of them behind such unusual places, and some in very obvious ones. Sometimes it made her want to laugh. The blond dawdled, glancing through a few windows, but never really taking much interest in anything. It wasn't like she had wanted to come here, but she knew her friend would need at least another hour, if not more before she was done.
That was the trouble with Kat. She never knew what to do when she wasn't working. Some people described it as her not knowing how to have fun. Which wasn't true, she did have fun, when she acted, and when she read by herself, but she didn't really know how to love life like some people did. In the past, Kat had been a little more into other things, when she was 8 or so. At that time she had had a phase where she had done other things like gone to amusement parks with another friend of hers. But as she had become earlier, those school friends that she thought were her good friends became rather demanding, and frustrated her to tears.
After that, Kat had decided to shut herself off from most of the world and just act, which was one of her favorite things to do anyway. She had been staring at the window of a bookstore when she felt a tap on her shoulder. She was so startled, she jumped about a foot in the air, before becoming rather flustered. The girl blushed as she glanced at the reason for her being startled. It was some guy, who looked to be a little bit older than her, but not by too much, and she couldn't help but stare a little. He looked so different from most people she had met, and she found herself slightly curious.
Now that she was calming down, she realized he had asked her whether she had gum, and she smiled slightly and nodded, rummaging through her purse to find some just to avoid looking at him. She hated it when she was caught off-guard. A lot of her fellow actors had done it before, because she went into her own little world when she was preparing to do a scene, and they found it so amusing. It drove her crazy, and she always felt so embarrassed about it. She knew this boy hadn't intended to startle her, but she still felt uneasy. Finding her package of stride gum, she pulled it out and held it out to him. "Here, that's plenty right? Go ahead and take the whole thing, I don't need it anyway."
She spoke softly, hoping he'd just take it and leave. Well, then again, most likely that was how it would be anyway, since that was why he had approached her in the first place. As soon as he said some kind of thank you, he'd be off, and she'd be able to go hide somewhere until it was time to leave.

Take nothing less than perfection, (Clothes)Jordan allowed his charming grin turn into something one could only describe as half smirk half smile, apparently by tapping her shoulder he had scared the blonde. Clearly she was in her own little world thinking about god know what and when he tapped her on the shoulder he brought her out of her reverie with such a start that she physically jumped in the air; he would say it was easily a foot up. It was not his intention to startle the poor girl, who looked oddly familiar yet he could not place her, but to merely ask her for a piece of gum; to get that awful stale candy and copper taste out of his mouth. Hopefully she would have a piece of gum for him or else he will have scared her for nothing. Honestly though what girl with a purse would not carry around a pack a gum? Girls carry all of the necessities in their purses, thank god for that. Maybe he should invest in a purse, no a man bag, a satchel to be exact. He almost chuckled out loud at the thought, he would definitely not use it because he did not have a shit load of crap to carry around with him every where. The most he carried around with him was his wallet, phone, ipod and maybe his car keys; depending on the situation. Other than those four things he did not really need anything else, besides if he did he was sure that he could just ask the nearest girl and she would pull it out of her purse.
Movement he caught from the corner of his eye brought him back to reality, he glanced to the side to see a guy with a camera trying to be stealth by hiding behind one of those fake mall plants. He glanced around, noticing that there were a few more guys with cameras trying to be stealth and still take pictures at the same time. He arched an eyebrow and looked back at the blond, who seemed to be focusing all her attention away from him. He felt himself grin, when meeting new people he often found that they acted the same way. They wanted to stare because he did not look 'normal' with all the tattoos, but they did not want to seem rude by staring. Admittedly he used to be a tad bit uncomfortable with all the stares but he quickly grew out of it because he liked the tattoos and that is all that mattered.
When she smiled and nodded and focused all her attention on her purse he really got a good look at her and he was sure that he knew her. Apparently just as the not so stealthy guys did because they certainly were not creeping him by taking picture. He nodded slightly to himself as if confirming his thought, the paparazzi he supposed they would be classified as, were defiantly taking picture of the blond before him. A slow realization dawned over him as she looked up at him and held out the package of stride gum, she was some movie start. He had seen her in the tabloids before and on the internet, yup no doubt she was some big up and coming movie star. Of course he could not recall if he had actually ever seen her in a movie or tv show or what ever she did because he really did not watch that much tv and if he did manage to catch the latest flick he could never remember it; he had a knack for remembering faces but not the names.
He took a the stride gum from her, happily popping a piece into his mouth chewing for a moment before holding the package back out to the blonde. "I do not need the whole package, I only need one because I held the door for this old lady and then she gave me a stale piece of hard candy from the bottom of her purse, which tasted like pennies." he explained, a small grin twitching at the corner of his mouth. He wondered what the girl would think of his explanation. He often went off on long rants like this even if he was talking to complete strangers, it was just what he did. "Oh, I'm Jordan by the way." ---------------------------------------------- - Word Count: 731

I'M FEELING NERVOUS TRYING TO BE SO PERFECT Kat wasn't sure what she should think about this, but she figured she should leave before the paparazzi made use of her presence and bothered her. While she liked to answer questions about her movies and stuff, she didn't want to be probed into her own life. And, in any case it was extremely boring. What else did they need to know other than her parents had put her into acting ever since she was a baby basically. There was a time when she had briefly rebelled, when she had wanted to go to regular public school, but she was quickly quenched when her parents took her out some place that they never took her otherwise, and made it seem like her life was so much better. While after that she came to love acting once again, she had always wondered what attending public school would have been like. She had acted in shows and movies where she attended it, but in truth, she had never spent a single day in one in real life. It had always been private tutors, and she had always found it ridiculous.
The blond came out of her reverie to realize that this guy was still standing there. It seemed he didn't want to leave. Apparently he would rather tell her his life story. Or at least the reason why he needed the gum. It wasn't like Kat had asked for an explanation. She didn't mind giving away some gum, and yet he told her about some old lady. What a strange guy. Still, she figured he'd leave eventually. She wasn't very interesting, and it wasn't like she wanted to talk. When she didn't feel like talking she was as silent as a mute at times. Often times her costars would have to force her to talk either through tickling, or other assorted abuse of some sort. It was funny abuse, but still, Kat didn't want to talk a lot. She had never felt the need unless she really had something meaningful to say.
And while she had been trying not to stare at this guy, it was extremely difficult not to. For one, all the tattoos, which while they might look cool now, she did recall it wouldn't look good with age. But it wasn't just that. It was the fact that he just rattled away at a perfect stranger. Most people just requested something politely, said thank you, and then left again. She decided he definitely wasn't most people. Still, he was good looking, so she figured at least he had that going for him. Though the tattoos really were distracting. The girl shrugged and nodded as he gave the package back and she put it back into her purse. It was an offer, but that he didn't take the whole thing was nice too. Not that she even chewed gum that often. She wasn't even sure why she had it in her purse. But she received gum frequently for various reasons.
"You know, you didn't have to explain. It's fine either way. But that's nice of you to do for that lady, I'm sure she was very glad." Kat spoke politely, although she did mean what she said. She hardly ever saw nice guys who helped little old ladies across the street, or opened doors anymore. It was a shame, but at least she knew now that some still had some sort of gentlemanly habit. She smiled politely at him when he introduced himself, since that was the only thing she really knew to do in this situation. Jordan was his name. It was cool, she thought it definitely suited him, somehow. She wasn't sure why though, cause she didn't really know what a Jordan normally would look like. "I'm Katrina. It's nice to meet you Jordan." She replied, as she glanced around at the places she knew several people were snapping pictures at. She didn't want to bother this guy with her stalkers.
He seemed like a perfectly normal person who really didn't need to get slammed on a tabloid with her on it just for talking to her. She started to back away from him without thinking much about it, and bit her lip. She really didn't want to be rude, but she figured it would just be best for the both of them if this conversation ended now. "Well, it was nice to meet you, but I should get going. I have uh....stuff to do. My friend uh....should be around here...somewhere." Katrina muttered her excuses, knowing it didn't sound convincing, but she never was good at lying in any way, and even though the part about her friend was true, she knew that if her friend were a really close friend, they'd be doing something together right now, so it wasn't a very convincing excuse to leave. And yet, even as she backed away, she didn't go more than a few steps. She still hesitated, not wanting this guy to be angry or anything. Kat couldn't help it, even as she wanted to just flee, and bury her nose into a good book, she stayed. She needed to get her head examined or something.

Take nothing less than perfection, (Clothes)As Jordan stared at the girl he could not tell if she ignoring the paparazzi or if she had even noticed them. If she was the movie star that he thought she was then she was probably just ignoring the creepy men hiding in the fake plants. If she was not the movie star he thought she was then she must still be someone important who is ignoring the creepy men hiding in the fake plants, because he did not think that the paparazzi were taking pictures of random strangers talking; or maybe they were. No, that was not likely, she was probably just ignoring them. He supposed that when you're a pretty big star this happens a lot and you just learn to ignore it. He did not think that he could ever do that, for one he had never really dreamed of being a star because he lacked talent, but even if he had talent he would not be able to ignore them. In fact he would probably just go up to the paparazzi and start up a conversation. That was just the type of person he was, a real social butterfly. Even as a child he would crave human contact, he thrived on it. He was forever getting in trouble in school for talking when he should have been listening, still he gets in trouble for talking when he should be listening.
Jordan could tell that the blonde was having a hard time not staring at him, she probably did not want to be rude. Honestly he did not care, he was so used to it by now that it did not even phase him when people completely zoned out and just stared at the tattoos that seemed to cover every inch of his body. He would continue to ramble on about whatever it was that he and the person would be talking about, eventually the other person would clue in and manage to slip in a reply; it was a cycle really. Perhaps the blonde was also having a hard time digesting what he was telling her, after all he did just ramble out why he needed the pack of gum when she did not even ask why; he did that a lot. Jordan just always feels the need to explain why he is doing certain things to strangers, as if they are actually interested in a play-by-play of his life. By the looks of it this girl was not all that interested, but she acted as if she was all the same. She was probably just being polite and plotting for a way to escape his company with out being too rude.
Jordan would be okay with it if she just made up some really lame excuse and then booked it away from him, he was used to it. Some people really enjoyed his company and personality, while others did not. It was like that all throughout his school days as well, it seemed as if half the school loved him while the other half hated him. It was all very confusing, especially when people actually felt the need to voice their hateful opinion of him. He remembered one kid specifically, in high school, that really hated him, like actually hated him. The guy would always pick on him and talk all this shit about Jordans family and how his mother hated him and all this other bull. So one day Jordan finally called him on it and they got into a big confrontation, resulting in both of them being suspended and Jordan actually believing what the kid was saying. It seemed that it was true, for every bad thing it takes ten or more good things to correct it; though in this case it really hit home with Jordan and it stuck with him all theses years.
Jordans attention was brought to the girl as she spoke, he grinned and nodded. "Why thank you, I like to keep chivalry alive, contrary to most of the guys now a days." it was true, if you met Jordan at a party or if he was under the influence of illegal substances you would never guess that he was a gentleman. Or even just judging him from his appearance most people assume that he is a no good whippersnapper, which can be true at times, but in general he likes to be a decent guy. Someone needs the door held open, sure thing. A mother with a handful of children needs her groceries loaded into the back of her minivan, he's there. Jordan likes to help people out, even though he likes to project a some what 'bad boy' image. Even though must of the time people referred to him as 'that weird, funny kid with the tattoos'. Though, he occasionally got 'that BAMF with the hair, that fucker is one chill dude' He appreciated it when he got called a BAMF, it made him feel so much cooler than he actually was.
A large smile spread across his face as she introduced herself, even though it looked like she'd rather be anywhere than here. Before he could comment on how she had a cute name that suited an even cuter girl he became distracted by her movement, she stepped back. He raised an eyebrow, was it something that he did? Maybe just now she had noticed the paparazzi and did not want to be in the lime light. He watched her face as she rhymed off a lame excuse, for any subtle cue that said she wanted to stay, but that she needed a good reason to. Jordan allowed a small smile to play at his lips, if she was really into hanging out with her friend right now, would she not have been with this alleged friend at this very moment? He thought so, and the fact that she was still standing opposite of him suggested that she was hesitant to leave, which was good enough for him.
"Well Katrina, beautiful name by the way, you'll have to excuse me for being blunt, but you did not sound all that convincing, and if you were really keen on hanging out with your friend would you not be with her right now?" his charming smile was in full bloom now. "Besides, I would love to have the company of such a pretty girl like you, if you'd allow me the pleasure." he liked to think he was smooth, though most of the things he said sounded better in his mind. "So Kat, how about it, how would you like to become my new friend?" He was not trying to be pushy, but he knew that he could come off as that. However, if she was really opposed to his company he would eventually take the hint and leave her alone. Right now though he could tell that she was still on the fence, she appeared as if she wanted to leave, but he thought that she was intrigued with him and wanted to know more; it was probably the tattoos or maybe the fact that he would not hesitate to tell her his life story. Hopefully he would be able to find out because she would chose to stay in his company. ---------------------------------------------- - Word Count: 1223

I'M FEELING NERVOUS TRYING TO BE SO PERFECT That she hadn't left yet was a first for Kat. At this point she would usually have said her goodbyes, and found the best way to avoid people for the rest of the day. But for once she wasn't trying to flee as soon as the thank you was given. She didn't have a good reason for that either. It wasn't like she knew this guy, or really wanted to. He seemed nice, but a lot of people were that way and she didn't take interest in them. Really, she couldn't explain herself right at this moment. She supposed it was because he was different from most people. And it wasn't just the tattoos either. It was just, his whole attitude, she guessed. He was very talkative, that was definitely true, because he basically told her his whole reasoning on why he needed gum instead of just saying thank you and leaving. Which was different, although Kat still couldn't understand why he was so open. Didn't he ever worry about people thinking he was weird? Kat was constantly worrying about what others might think, how people would view her movies, how she presented herself in interviews. She never blabbered about anything, not even to her friends. She always insisted on being composed, in control.
And yet, she was terrible at lying. For all that she was an actress, when it came to talking to people, she tended to be incapable of lying. So instead of giving away big things about a movie plot, she would have to have someone else around with her from the movie guiding the interview in the right direction. Because lying just wasn't her forte. It was extremely obvious when she did it, and often she didn't even know how to come up with something that would make a good cover up. If she at least had something else she needed to do, she could twist the truth a little bit and it would work, but not today. Because really her friend had gone off with no estimated time for them to meet up again. Basically Kat was left to her own devices. Which made lying to this guy, Jordan, impossible. Still, she figured things could be worse. At least he wasn't using her for some media scheme. At least, she was pretty sure he had no intention of that. He wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary to grab attention or anything, so she was pretty sure he was alright.
Especially since he had held a door for an old woman. A lot of young people, guys in particular, didn't show any kind of respect for the elderly nowadays. It irritated Kat beyond belief that people could be such assholes. But this guy, Jordan was different. Which was nice. She had to admire him for his kindness, she really did. He really defied what she would have expected him to be like. But then again, so many people said that looks can be deceiving, and they were right. Just to judge someone based on looks would not accomplish anything. After all, if that were the case, Kat would be an airhead blond, rather than a hard working actress that she was. In any case, Jordan was already high up in her thoughts since he seemed like a nice person. Thoughtful and such, that was great. Even if she didn't know him, she could figure that he was a good person. Kat smiled at his words. That was definitely great of him to do. "That's definitely admirable Jordan. I wish there were more people like that." Kat replied warmly. There really needed to be more people that weren't only interested in themselves and cared about others.
Kat was always trying to help others. She donated to charities and such things very frequently. It was the only thing that made her comfortable with having a lot of money. The fact that she was able to help a lot of people with the money she earned made her feel much better about her job. It wasn't that she thought her job was bad or anything, but a lot of people would say that she didn't work very hard or something like that. Which was such a lie, because Kat was very devoted to what she did. She even attempted stunts now, although not very many yet because she wasn't trained to them well enough yet. But she would hopefully soon be able to do any stunt she wanted to do. Still, Kat knew that would take a while. At the moment she could only really do the cheerleading type of stunts and a few jumps off of buildings onto a mat or something along those lines. It was the stunts that Kat found the most exciting, even if she couldn't do too many of them.
Kat couldn't help but sigh after her failed attempt to leave. She really didn't have any good reason to do so, and they both knew it. She had also hesitated because she didn't want to make this guy mad. He did still look intimidating to her, even if he was very nice. His words made her blush so much she wished she had something to hide her face other than her hands. While she was happy that he thought her name was pretty, it was nice to know, his other words made her feel embarrassed and guilty. He was only pointing out the obvious, but it made her feel very awkward. Sure, he didn't look mad about her pathetic attempt to escape, but still. The blond twirled a strand of her hair as she glanced at her feet, replying softly, "You're right. It isn't convincing." Because really, she hadn't even come up with anything convincing like, My friend and I are planning to see a movie, or I have to head to work soon, or something along those lines.
Still, that he would want her company was beyond strange. She definitely wasn't very interesting, and generally not very talkative with strangers. And hadn't she already hinted that she wanted to leave? Kat figured that would make him dislike her or something. No, instead he wanted to spend time with her, although the flattery wasn't something she cared for. She had never felt insecure about her looks really, but she hated it when people tried to use flattery to get her to do things. "If you really insist on my company that's fine, although I can't say I'm that exciting. Actually, I'm really boring. I figured I'd warn you." Kat replied calmly. It was true though, she really had nothing much to discuss except her movies, premieres, and books. Those were the only things she really talked about. She just couldn't understand why he wanted to spend time with her.
Her eyes widened in surprise at his question. Friends? Didn't that require them to actually know each other? Kat had always thought that friendship needed some kind of common interest for one thing, and to at least have known each other for more than a few minutes. Plus, it was kind of annoying that he automatically gave her a nickname. Sure, that was what pretty much everyone she knew called her except for reporters, she found it annoying. "Don't you think friendship kind of requires some kind of prior knowledge of each other? I mean, what if I were really a thief or a serial killer or something. You'd never know, would you?" Kat spoke rather irritably, although she hadn't really intended to come off as rude. She just didn't much like talking to strange people, and either she got shy, or she got rather irritable. It was really unavoidable. Which was unfortunate, because she had the feeling she would have liked him well enough if she were willing enough to get to know him. Mainly she'd figure he'd want to leave and then she could go back to doing what she was before, wasting time all by herself.

Take nothing less than perfection, (Clothes)Jordan allowed himself a hint of an almost arrogant smile when Kat called what he did admirable. He had to agree with her, he also wished that there were more people like him in the world. Was that a little conceded of him to think that? If he said it out loud he would probably sound like a douche bag. Imagine 'oh yeah you're right Kat, if there were more people like me, because I am just so gosh darn awesome the world would obviously be such a better place'. Ha! That would probably cause her to take back what she had said, give him a what the hell look and then just walk away. However, he is not that conceded to say such a thing out loud, well at least not at this particular moment in time. Perhaps if he was drunk or something along those lines he would have said it. Since the filter in his mind that normally stops him from saying douchey things turns off when he gets drunk or high, or both. Which is probably why a lot of people, unless they happen to also be under the influence, tend to steer clear. However, that is only when he is drunk when he is not, like in this situation, he is a sweet little boy who loves to please everyone around him. Which, really, depending on which way you look at it is a either a bad thing or a good thing. Some people say that being a people pleaser is a bad thing because you only end up disappointing everyone because you are to focused on trying to make everyone happy. On the flip side, if you have been a people pleaser all your life you tend to be quite good at at balancing it so that everyone actually ends up being happy. Which is exactly why mr. Jordan usually ends up with everything that he wants because he is able to give everyone else what they want. Its a grand cycle, really it is.
Now Jordan was not claming to be a body language expert- except for this one time when he was trying to hook up with this total babe of a redhead, who actually believe him thus resulting in a pretty memorable night- but there were however a few ques that he had come to pick up on over the past say tens years or so. One of the ques the blonde was exhibiting right now, a little pink had tinted her cheeks; which could mean a couple of things. Either she was embarassed by his complement, guillty that he had called her on being less than convincing, or a combination of both. He figured that it was probably the latter, after all most women gushed at any sort of complement; not just from him but in general. Even if they have claimed to dislike complements or not wanted any, deep down they secretly yearn for someone to say that they are beautiful, or that their smile lights up whoevers world. The only reason he thinks that is because it is the same with guys, like Jordan for instance. Sure, he love being called hot, and a babe or whatever because its all an ego bost for him. But what really makes him smile and feel good is when someone tells him that he is handome, which really only comes from his grandma. But hey, you take what you can get.
He waved his hand slightly, as if dismissing her quiet comment. He did not care really, he just thought that if he pointed it out she'd be more convinced to stay because he wanted her to. Also, he could not understand why she felt guilty. Jordan just assumed that she felt guilty because her lame excuse failed and he had called her on it, but he would never be sure unless he asked her. Which he was not inclined to do, at the moment anyway. He never understood it when strangers felt guilty for doing things like that. It was probably because he did not really feel guilt towards people, sure he felt bad for a couple hours or so, but ultimetly he just forgot about it. He was a forgive and forget type of guy, except when it came to his family; there were some semi-deep issues there. If he had a motto for his life it would probably be: Shit Happens. End of story, let's move along people. No use on dwelling on things that have all ready happend, it cannot be changed.
He focused his attention on Kat as she started to speak, he could not help but chuckle lightly at her statement. He found it almost adoarable when people said that they were boring, while it may actually be true he always found some way to coax the fun out of someone. It was a gift he supposed. No matter how grouchy, or 'boring' or whatever the person classified themself as he always found some way to prove them wrong. Hopefully, if the blonde was actually willing to hang out with him for longer than a few minutes he would be able to coax the fun out of her. It looked like she needed a bit of fun in her life anyway. "Cheer up buttercup, we'll have that view of yourself changed around in no time." He commented jovially while rocking back and forth on his feet with a huge grin on his face. It was easy to tell that he was excited, he had just made a new friend. He loved making new friends, he loved people, he thrived on their contact and acceptance.
His happy stature faltered for a second and her new series of commentes and questions. Never once in his whole, long career of making friends had anyone ever actually asked him things like that. He was takenaback and was not quite sure where to go from that point, which was strange for him. Normally he would be able to turn this situation right around and have her nodding and basically accepting that they were now friends and she had better get used to it because he was not going away, unless she actually got pissed and told him to fuck off. He pursed his lips and ran his tattoo covered fingers through his shaggy, but well mainted brown hair. This girl had actually stumped him, a first. Which was a bit bothersome, no one had ever hinted around not being his friend and it made him feel a little bit insecure. He needed for people to like him, if they did not then he would try to change their opinion of him many different ways. If they still refused to give him the time of day he would obsess over what it was that he did wrong to turn them away from him, and it would take a at least four or five of his friends to convince him that he was a great person and it was someone loss for not wanting to be his friend.
He rubbed the back of his neck and looked down at the ground momentarliy, before shaking his head. This was silly, it was a rare occurance that someone denied his friendship, perhaps the girl was just shy and needed some more coaxing. He nodded to himself, as if his confirming his thoughts with hardened facts. He looked back up and regarded Katrina. "Hmm, interesting." he mumbled while his mind continued to race for something to say, anything really before he was reduced to grabbing her by the wrist and pulling her along to wherever in the mall looked like the most friend inducing spot; but no one wanted that.
Slolwy a sly smile transformed his lips from their previously pursed position, he had thought of something that would perhaps change her mind. "I don't think it requires prior knowledge actually, because if I did have prior knowledge of you and we talked regularly and had all these things in common, what would are realtionship be classified as?" he paused momentarliy to figure out what he was going to say next. "Acquaintances? Perhaps, but not how I view things. Because if I concider acquaintances people who I meet in passing and do not really plan on talking to ever again, or hang out for a prolonged period of time. However since I plan on hanging out with you right now that would make us new friends." He stopped to brush a hand through his hair. "Besides, there are different levels of friends, it is not like I'm about to tell you my deep dark secrets or anything, but I'll share things with you like why I wanted gum and such." He stopped again, this time while nodding as if summing up everything he had just said. "Oh and if you were an thief or a serial killer or something I don't think you'd get away with it, especailly with all those creepy guys hiding behind fake plants." He commented with a smile while jerking his thumb over his shoulder to gesture to the paparazzi. ---------------------------------------------- - Word Count: 1539
